Free and Confidential Counseling In the United States

National Suicide Prevention lifeline 1-800-273-TALK (8255)

Provides free and confidential emotional support to friends, families, and people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Calls are routed to the nearest crisis center in a national network of crisis centers that provide crisis counseling and mental health referrals day and night. Downloadable wallet cards in English and Spanish with the toll-free number, suicide warning signs, and other materials for coping and caring for loved ones are available at
